Yael Henkin, PhD

Yael Henkin, PhD, is Head of the Hearing, Speech and Language Center and Communication Disorders Services at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer. She is a senior lecturer at the Department of Communication Disorder, Sackler Faculty of Medicine, at Tel Aviv University. Dr. Henkin has earned her BA and MA in Communication Disorders at Tel Aviv University. Her PhD and post-doctoral studies focused on auditory cortical neurophysiology and took place at Tel Aviv University and at the University of Michigan, respectively. Dr. Henkin's research focuses on electrophysiological and behavioral manifestations of auditory processing, as well as the relation between the two, in the normal and impaired auditory system. Her main interest is transforming research findings into rehabilitative approaches and technologies for auditory disorder.
